From our Call Reluctance session. Use this immediately before any prospecting call. It takes 12 seconds.
Step 1
Ground
Feet flat. Feel the chair. Inhale for 4 counts.
Step 2
Notice
Hold 2 counts. Where's the tension? Jaw? Chest? Just notice.
Step 3
Release
Exhale 6 counts. Soften your jaw. Drop your shoulders. Then dial.
Why it works: A longer exhale than inhale activates the parasympathetic nervous system — the “rest and digest” mode — which counteracts fight-or-flight in real time.
